The PACE Network brings the community together to advocate for equity, access and effective learning in schools and community places-building a more unified voice on behalf of state and city students.
Families and residents play a critical role in our children's education. We believe the fate of our city and state depends on our efforts.
Key Partners
The Parent Advocacy Council for Education (PACE) was launched by the Wilmington Education Think Tank (WESTT) in partnership with the Christina Cultural Arts Center Inc. in keeping with our shared commitment to education, community and family engagement. Elizabeth Lockman directed PACE from 2016-2019 until her election as Delaware's second Female African American Senator.
WESTT created the Wilmington Center for Education Equity and Policy (WCEEP), an umbrella entity that includes PACE as WCEEP'S parent engagement arm. WESTT and the Wilmington Center for Education Equity and Policy forged a partnership with the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League (MWUL) in 2019 to sustain advocacy, research and community organizing with the intent to address the educational achievement of Black and Brown students in the City of Wilmington and beyond.
WESTT, WCEEP, MWUL, PACE and an impressive group of community leaders, district, charters, nonprofits and government voices seek to make a collective impact.
